The Lumièr at Riverside is set on a 2 hectare open garden that feels both natural and intentional - a canvas for unforgettable celebrations. On the property, you’ll find a modern partial-glass building that has the functionality of opening up completely to the evergreen garden. In addition our private bridal suite with it's own seperate lounge as well as a grooms suite boasts a 3 star rating. Our operational restaurant and fire grilled pizza oven creates endless possibilities for your guest. Every part of the space is designed with one goal in mind: to give you and your guests an experience that feels seamless, thoughtful, and unlike anything attended before. But it's not about the space - it's about what we want you to do with it...;

Weddings are stressful when couples are expected to juggle dozens of suppliers, endless checklists, and hidden costs. We flipped that script. At Lumièr, you bring your wedding dress, the groom’s suit, and your rings. We handle the rest - the music, the food, the décor, the flow of the day. You simply arrive ready to celebrate. And the ultimate bonus - you get a wedding planner (not a coordinator by the way!) - at no extra cost. The owners are your wedding planners that walks the journey with you, every step of the way. We include a hand full of surprises for your wedding day is all focused on your guests - to give them the experience your wedding deserves. We not only plan the wedding before the day, but we are very involved on the day, taking care of your guests, as well as taking care of you as the couple.

Exceptional guests experience

We understand the value of your guests at your wedding. When will you ever again have all your loved ones gathered together to celebrate you? That's why, at Lumiér, we focus on giving your guests something that they wont forget through exceptional service and attention to detail. 

Pre-Ceremony

Your guests receive a warm welcome on arrival at the venue, by your very own wedding planner, with smoking drinks and snacks (who wants to wait for canapes?) Here they will spend time creating a canvass painting in your wedding colors for you as the couple, which becomes a take-home treasure after the wedding. Your guests are treated like royalty! When the ceremony time arrives, they are ushered to their seats awaiting your grand arrival.

Ceremony

We have spent hours creating a ceremony setup that is unlike anything you've seen before. Our couple walk toward each other with guests seated all around them to make the ceremony that much more special and spectacular.

Canapes hour
Our couple doesnt just make a grand entrance to their reception. Our Canapes hour is an entire event on its own. Apart from amazing food, live music and more spectacular drinks, our couple makes a grand entrance to their canape hour, where they are then covered in confetti and welcomed like royalty. It is here that the speeches are handled, leaving much room for less formal celebrations in the evening. As our couple heads out for their sunset photos, our guests decorates the cake - making it a surprise experience for our couple on their return. 

 

Reception

Our reception starts at dinner time when our family style meals are placed on the tables by our chef. Friends and family gather to enjoy food from hearty bowls of dishes placed straight onto the tables, creating a beautiful environment of laughs shared and memories created. After dinner, it's dancing and celebration, and we might just have a few more tricks up our sleeves for the evening.

Pièce de Résistance!

Meaning the final glory. Our dessert is served harvest style at the third and final location of the evening - and dependant on the weather. We may set it up under the stars or within our transparent marquee decorated with string lights. 

DECOR

Because it has never just been about flowers. It's about mood, story, and the way petals become art when they're placed just right. It's bespoke floral artistry.

Your love story is unlike any other, and your wedding decor should be too. Our in-house, qualified floral and decor specialist - hello Michelle! - works with you to translate your unique personality into a bespoke design. We create stunning and unforgettable settings, ensuring your decor is an authentic, one-of-a-kind expression of your journey together. Your only other meeting apart from your wedding planner is your meeting with Michelle. She will provide a detailed plan for your decor and flowers based on your vision for your day as well as a mock table to show you how it all comes together. CATERING

Our signature style wedding catering is family style meals, created to share - served straight onto the table for your self serving pleasure. Select any five bowls per table of 10 people. Each dish will be split in two to ease the self serve experience. Or, design your own meals - eat your favorite meals on the most important day of your life. Our kitchen is run by owner, Reinhard Smit with his team of qualified Chef's.

At our venue, every detail of your wedding is carefully managed under one roof. Here’s how the journey with us unfolds:

QUOTATION

Fill out our quote form below and we will send you an estimate. When you are ready to proceed, let's chat and schedule your viewing with us. Please note that viewings are on appointment only and should you arrive more than 15 minutes late for the appointment, you may forfeit the viewing.

BOOKING AND CONSULTATION

Following your viewing, we prepare a tailored proposal outlining all services and costs. To secure your date, a 30% non-refundable booking fee is required, with the balance paid in scheduled instalments.

DESIGN & PLANNING

Together we refine every detail: menu selection, décor style, flowers, sound and lighting, timelines, and formalities. Our wedding planner coordinates all suppliers seamlessly, ensuring every aspect is aligned with your wishes. We will also setup a meeting with our florist for your flower and decor consultation

FINAL CONFIRMATION

One month before your wedding, we meet for your mock table, final guest numbers, service flow, and the master timeline. All final payments are due at this stage.

WEDDING DAY

Relax and enjoy — everything is taken care of. From preparation in the bridal suite to the last dance, our team works behind the scenes to deliver an effortless, unforgettable celebration. You care connected to us at all times with a radio for any needs that may show up.

AFTER THE WEDDING

Your photography and film are edited to perfection. Digital galleries and highlights are delivered within agreed timelines, and optional printed keepsakes can be arranged.

Terms & Conditions

To ensure clarity and fairness for all parties, please take note of the following terms:

1. Booking & Payments | A 25% non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is payable in instalments: 45% due 6 months before the wedding, and 30% due 1 month before the wedding. Bookings are only confirmed once payment has cleared. 2. Cancellations & Postponements | The booking fee is strictly non-refundable. Cancellations within 6 months of the wedding are subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the full package. Cancellations within 3 months of the wedding are subject to 100% of the contracted amount. Postponements are subject to availability and may incur additional charges if rates have changed. 3. Guest Numbers & Final Details | Final guest numbers must be confirmed no later than 30 days before the wedding. Charges will be based on the confirmed number or the actual number in attendance, whichever is greater. 4. Venue Use & Conduct | Clients and guests are required to respect the venue, staff, and property. No outside catering, décor, or third-party suppliers may be brought in without prior written consent. The venue reserves the right to remove any person whose behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or damaging. 5. Liability & Insurance | While every effort is made to ensure a safe environment, the venue will not be held liable for loss, theft, injury, or damage to persons or property. 6. Force Majeure | The venue is not responsible for failure to provide services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to fire, flood, strike, or government restrictions. 7. Media & Promotion | We reserve the right to use selected images and video from your event for promotional purposes, unless otherwise agreed in writing. 8. Pricing may change without prior notice at the discrepency of Lumiér Weddings/
