From the venue to the makeup and hair and live music - we offer the full house service. What's more, we offer it with full wedding planning - if you're dream has always been to have a wedding planner, you're at the right place - you do all of the decision making with none of the heavy lifting and absolutely no stressing and no drama. Through our bespoke client planning app, our brides remain effortlessly connected to the journey, with real-time access to timelines, financials, and every detail as it beautifully comes together.

We are Reinhard & Melissa Smit - husband & wife photo-film duo, who shot 1000 weddings in 10 years, had 5 kids, and bought a coffee shop for fun.
In 2024 we moved over to wedding planning - Lumiér Weddings was born, and somehow we ended up managing some wedding venues in Pretoria too - Riverside in Kameeldrift, Waterstone in Boschkop, and In The Garden in Centurion.
Now we live and breathe weddings - with an all-inclusive dream team devoted to bringing every couple’s dream day to life. From intimate elopements to grand celebrations, Lumiér is more than a service... every aspect of who we are has been created and perfected for the ultimate, unmatched wedding experience.

From your discovery form to wedding day, every details is taken care of - managing your website RSVPs and coordinating every supplier, to gracefully navigating even the most delicate family dynamics, every detail is handled with poise and precision. This allows you to remain fully present in what truly matters: the butterflies of planning your vows, the embrace of cherished friends and family, and the joy of celebration - all without a trace of stress.
Suppliers
Forget the hundreds of emails, messages and phone calles to find your suppliers - and the stress and time that goes with their coordination. Except for the fact that we have a curated team of professionals which we call the A-team, which carries the heart for their clients, in the respective services they provide. You can rest assured that every detail is taken care of, and you get to sit back, and see your wedding day dreams come to life.
Decor & Florist
Our in-house décor and floral service eliminates the middleman - placing your vision directly in the hands of a seasoned floral and design specialist. With an expert knowledge of every bloom, leaf, and botanical detail, we thoughtfully translate your style and inspiration into a wedding aesthetic that is refined, cohesive, and unmistakably yours.
Catering
We’ve spoken about the warm welcome of passed hors d’oeuvres, the generosity of family-style entrées shared around the table, and the way dessert unfolds as a celebration in its own right. What is equally worth noting is that Reinhard, co-owner of Lumiér Weddings — and a seasoned coffee shop owner - leads the kitchen in-house alongside his dedicated team of chefs. With a meticulous eye and hands-on approach, he ensures exceptional quality, seamless execution, and a dining experience defined by refinement and perfection at every course. There are no set menu's - we create your dining experience with you based on your favorite meal.

Your guests' experience is one of our main focus points because the value of all your loved ones gathered together to celebrate you, is priceless - and we honour that by creating an atmosphere where every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and completely immersed in your celebration.
We welcome them with drinks and snacks - introducing, Lumiér hour. Like happy hour, just right at the beginning, setting the tone of celebration for the rest of the day.

Guest Portraits
The clown goggles and silly mustaches might be great fun to entertain your guests.
However, your guests have a rare opportunity to dress to the T. They want fancy portraits of themselves. So a beautifully styled portrait station where each guest is photographed in a timeless, artistic way adds to timeless elegancy.
Let Them Eat… Anything but Cake
White tiered wedding cakes are gone with weddings of yesterday so rethink the way you serve it.
Step into the Lumièr way with a cake (pavlova or tiramisu anyone?) that gets decorated by your guests! A little surprise for you, and amazing interaction with your loved ones.

Speeches. The tradition every couple must include, but few people actually enjoy. So we turned it into a moment of magic.
At Lumiér, speeches happen during canapés - surrounded by great food, good wine, clinking glasses, and live music. Less formal, more meaningful.
Fine dining - celebration style
You are welcomed into your dining area with food already served on the table - gone with formal seating placement, guests flow as they will and are delighted with family style feasting prepared by our in-house chef. Dine to your heart's content in an atmosphere of sharing and celebration

The final hoorah!
Guests are enticed into the final experience of the evening - a space where dancing ignites and celebration takes over.
Waiting for them is our decadent dessert table, a harvest-style spread curated for every sweet tooth, adding that final touch of exceptional to end the night on the perfect note.
